We will be celebrating St James Day this Sunday (17th July) with a Family Communion Service at 10.00am (no 9.30 & 11.00 this week) followed by a Church family barbecue.
All are welcome, but tickets (free!) are essential for the barbecue for catering purposes. Please contact the Parish Office if you haven't yet got your ticket.
St James followed Jesus as one of the 12 disciples. He proclaimed the Gospel after Jesus' resurrection and was put to death for his faith.
James was a fisherman. The scallop shell is the emblem of St James, symbolising two layers of being human - physical and spiritual.
